Practice Managers’ Conference
Practice Managers’ Annual Conference:
26-28 February 2022
Invitation from the Practice Managers’ Advisory Group
The RANZCO Practice Managers’ Conference is run alongside the Scientific Congress to enable ophthalmology practice managers to draw on the 1000s hours of experience in the room to garner advice, connections and sound boarding for future initiatives.
This will be the RANZCO Practice Managers’ 15th Annual Congress, to be held on 26 – 28 February.
The Practice Managers’ Advisory Group (more information here) are a voluntary group who use feedback provided from delegates to plan the conference topics. Please watch out for emails requesting feedback and participation in surveys so that you can have an input into getting the most from your conference.
The centrepiece of the Sydney 2019 conference was the “Practice Manager’s Toolkit” and we would like to continue to add to this. (Resources available to members in the Practice Managers Lounge. Link below.)
If you have any links/reference tools you use a lot, a great speaker/mentor you go to for advice, or if you feel you have the knowledge to share on a panel, please contact practicemanagers@ranzco.edu.
There will be more information about the program as the group gets planning. Bookmark this page and register your interest below. Remember that as a RANZCO Practice Manager member, you receive a discounted entry to the conference as well as other benefits.
Kind Regards,
Lucy Peters
Chair, RANZCO Practice Managers’ Advisory Group
Calling all Ophthalmology Practice Managers!
The RANZCO Practice Manager’s conference is still going ahead between 26th – 28th February in virtual format – please find the program below. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so now!
For those of you that have already, your registration will have been automatically converted to virtual and you will receive links to join closer to the date.
As well as the Practice Manager’s conference, now in its 15th year, your registration will also grant you access to the main scientific program. Enjoy the flexibility afforded by the virtual format!! Content will be recorded and available for 3 months following the Congress, provided you have registered.
The benefit to joining LIVE will be the opportunity to have your questions answered by presenters at the Q&A after each session – we all know this can be the most valuable part of any webinar!
Whilst we may not be able to network in person, we will still have the opportunity to discuss with each other and draw on the 1000s of hours of communal experience to garner advice and make connections by holding Practice Management Panel discussions. Some topics that will be covered are “Surviving Covid” and “Do virtual receptionists work”? If you have a question you would LOVE answered by a group of experienced ophthalmology PMs – please email ahead to: practicemanagers@ranzco.edu. *NOTE these panel sessions will only be available LIVE not recorded.
There will also be a UNE Partnerships course giveaway! Worth $495, designed by our very own Colleen Sullivan OAM. The Fundamentals of Practice Management short course has been developed in partnership with the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) and is suitable for all staff, GP’s, Nurses and Doctors within the medical practice. https://unep.edu.au/short-course/fundamentals-of-practice-management/ You will need to be registered to go into the draw and live to receive.
